2-2 Getting Started Guide You will need: • A Windows–based PC or a Macintosh computer with Ethernet connectivity for configuring the Netopia 3387W-ENT. This may be built-in Ethernet or an add-on card, with TCP/IP installed and configured. See “Configuring TCP/IP” on page 4-5. • An installed and functioning cable or DSL (broadband) modem with an Internet connection to connect to the WAN port on your Netopia 3387W-ENT Cable/DSL Wireless Router. Once the Netopia 3387W-ENT is properly configured and connected to your LAN, PC and Macintosh computers that have their required components in place will be able to connect to the Internet or other remote IP networks. Configuring TCP/IP 4-7 Configuring TCP/IP on Macintosh Computers The following is a quick guide to configuring TCP/IP for MacOS computers.
