Powering the Camcorder Using the Battery to Power Your Camcorder The battery must be charged before it can be used the first time. Initial charging will take approximately two hours. Viewfinder The camcorder’s viewfinder is a miniature monitor that displays the picture seen by the camcorder when recording. The viewfinder can also be used for viewing the tape during playback.
