11 Unpacking and checking package Carefully open the package to avoid damaging the content. 12 Plugging and connecting Maestro Line Preamplifier First of all, you have to link the two sections of the unit using the three provided connectors. Before connecting Maestro Line Preamplifier to the sound source and to the amplifier, please be sure that all the units are unplugged from wall outlets. 13 Volume settings and silencing (mute) The volume knob on the front panel and the Vol+/Vol- buttons on the remote controller change the general sound level. It means that the volume of the two channels is altered identically. It is possible to modify the relative level of each channel changing the balance option in the setup. The mute buttons on the front panel and on the remote controller allows lowering the sound level by 20dB. In normal sound level condition, it means to pass to a backg

14 Notes on inputs bypassing Set-up has an option that allows sending the input signal to the outputs to bypass the amplifier when the unit is in stand- by mode. It is possible to choose among the 8 available outputs. This option is useful when you want to integrate the preamplifier into a multi-channel system, so that you can connect it to high-quality stereophonic sources while connecting the multi-channel processor to audio/video sources. Use the remote controller to navigate through the different options, to choose the desired one and also to modify the parameters value.
