NETGEAR ReadyNAS OS 6 Rack-Mount Storage Systems Power On and Shut Down This section describes how to power on and shut down your system. If you must shut down the system, use one of the preferred shutdown methods whenever possible. Power On To power on the system: 1. Connect the system to a power supply. 2. NETGEAR ReadyNAS OS 6 Rack-Mount Storage Systems Power State If the power supply is interrupted due to a power failure, the system returns to its last state once the power supply is restored: • If the system was powered on at the time of the power failure, the system powers on when the power supply is restored. • If the system was powered off at the time of the power failure, the system remains off when the power supply is restored. NETGEAR ReadyNAS OS 6 Rack-Mount Storage Systems • Test disk. Performs an offline full disk test. This process can take four hours or more, depending on the size of your disks.
