Installation Steps Installation of your ClearSounds™ 40XLC Amplified Phone is easy. There are some basic steps you need to take when you set-up your 40XLC Phone for the first time. 1. Your 40XLC Phone is equipped with a bright STROBE light, which flashes a very bright strobe when the phone rings (See figure #10). It’s almost impossible to miss telephone calls when you select the Strobe Ringer. 40XLC Phone Operation MAKING AND RECEIVING A CALL Making A Call Using The Handset 1. To make a call, lift the handset, listen for a dial tone and adjust your Volume & Tone Settings.
