OPERATION STARTING AND STOPPING See Figures 5 - 7. PRIMER BULB TO START A COLD ENGINE: DO NOT squeeze the throttle trigger until the engine starts and runs. Lay the trimmer on a flat, bare surface. OPERATION ADVANCING TRIMMER CUTTING LINE String advance is controlled by tapping the string head on grass while running engine at full throttle. Run engine at full throttle. OPERATION ADJUSTING EDGER BLADE DEPTH ADJUSTING See Figures 12 - 13. KNOB TO INCREASE Depth of the cut is determined by the distance from the DEPTH bottom of the wheel to the tip of blade. MAINTENANCE CLEANING THE EXHAUST PORT AND AIR FILTER COVER MUFFLER Depending on the type of fuel used, the type and amount of oil used, and/or your operating conditions, the exhaust port, muffler, and/or spark arrestor screen may become blocked with carbon deposits. MAINTENANCE EDGER BLADE REPLACEMENT LOWER FLANGE WASHER BLADE See Figures 21 - 24. Replace blades that are damaged or worn.
