MAINTENANCE STRING REPLACEMENT See Figures 34 - 36. SPOOL SPRING Use only monofilament string. Use original manufacturer’s replacement string for best performance. ARROWS ON n Stop the engine, disconnect the spark plug wire. Hold SPOOL the string head and unscrew the spool retainer. To remove the spool retainer: n Turn the spool retainer counterclockwise.
