Installation where an outgoing fax machine is required on incoming line: NOTE: If you daisy chain from an outgoing fax machine, it should be set to either not auto answer or answer after 4 rings or more so that the FaxReceiver will pickup first. NOTE: You should also set the fax machine to tone dialing and not pulse dialing. LEDs The LEDs are itemized as follows: LK (Yellow) LED The Link LED indicates that the port is functionally connected to an external port. Configuration The complete configuration can be done with any Telnet client, like HyperTerminal or simply using the Windows Command prompt “telnet”. This will work on any FaxReceiver that is on the same virtual network. Black Box has provided a FaxConfig utility that allows you to perform the basic IP configuration of any FaxReceiver that is on the same physical network. These are the steps necessary to configure the FaxReceiver using the Windows command prompt telnet client.
