You cannot make changes to a Map File once it has been created. If you want to make changes to a map, return to its original companion Map Bor- der File or retrieve the map borders by opening the Map File (*.lcm). Make your changes to the border, then create a fresh Map File. You can delete the old one, or just save the new map over the old map. MapCreate can be used to save valuable travel or adventure data for a later trip. This also makes it easy to exchange GPS data with friends using Brunton Atlas GPS units. ASCII Text File This is a universal text file format compatible with word processors and other software. MapCreate can exchange routes and waypoint lists with other mapping programs by importing and exporting GPS information as comma-delimited ASCII text files.
