IP8540 User Guide 2.2 AC/DC power adaptor The IP8540 ships without an AC/DC power adaptor. The IP8540 LAN Ethernet port supports IEEE802.3af PoE (Power-over-Ethernet), so an external power supply is not needed if your Ethernet switch supports PoE class 3. To wall mount IP8540 you will need to install two mounting screws arranged to fit in the mounting slots. #6 pan head screws are recommended and th should be anchored firmly into a wall stud or wall anchor.
