1 Overview You can configure your company’s SoundPoint IP and SoundStation IP phones to display certain information in the idle display and Microbrowser, such as stock ticker and news or weather feeds. This chapter provides an overview of the sample applications available on the SoundPoint IP 330/320, 430, 501, 550, 600, 601, and 650 desktop phones and SoundStation IP 4000 conference phone. Configuring Sample Applications— Administrator Tasks Configuring Stock Ticker The stock ticker application displays the daily stock price for a particular stock—in graphical format— in the phone’s idle display. The stock ticker application is enabled for users by default. A 10 second refresh interval is set by default.
