2 2 2 2 Introduction 2-1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION The XLB-4232 DC Boom Lift is designed and manufactured for positioning personnel with their tools and equipment at overhead work locations. The rated work basket load capacity is 300 lbs. for the XLB-4232. Basket elevation is by two hydraulic cylinders acting on the boom sections. A hydraulic powered motor and worm gear rotates the boom 360° around a vertical axis. The hydraulic power unit includes a reservoir, pump, and control valves.

3 3 3 3 Operation 3-1 OPERATOR CONTROLS The XLB-4232 DC Boom Lift is equipped with multiple operator controls. Electrical boom lift and rotation control panels are located at ground level and in the basket. Manual boom rotation and lowering controls are at the ground level. Battery ON/OFF Switch A battery ON/OFF switch (Figure 3-1) is mounted on the front end of the hydraulic power compartment. XLB-4232 DC Lower Control Panel The lower control panel (Figure 3-2) is located on the side of the hydraulic power compartment. The following controls and indicators are on the lower control panel.
