The HP JetDirect 300X provides connectivity to 10Base-T and 100Base-TX networks. The HP JetDirect 170X provides connectivity to 10Base-T networks. The HP JetDirect EX Plus provides connectivity to 10Base-T and 10Base2 networks. The HP JetDirect three-port print servers have three high-speed, bidirectional parallel ports (IEEE 1284) that support multiple network operating systems (NOSs). Each port operates independently which, in effect, gives you three print servers in one (Figure 1.2).

Product Overview 1 Network Management The HP JetDirect external print servers support the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), which enables remote printer management and troubleshooting.
