ASSEMBLY If your unit has been preassembled, check each step to make sure the unit has been properly assembled. HANDLE LOCK FRONT HANDLE See Figure 4. WASHER 1. MAINTENANCE STRING REPLACEMENT See Figures 12, 13, 14, and 15. SPOOL SPRING 1. Stop the engine, disconnect the spark plug wire. Hold the string head and unscrew the spool retainer. ARROWS ON Turn counterclockwise. SPOOL 2. Remove the spool from the string head. NOTE: Keep the spring attached to the spool. Remove any old string remaining on the spool. ANCHOR 3. Engine will not start: 1. No spark. 1. To check for spark: Disconnect the spark plug wire. Reattach the spark plug wire and lay spark plug on metal cylinder.
