3.0 OPERATIONS 3.1 POWER • Attach the main power cord to the power supply. The indicator will charge the internal battery whenever it is connected to the 220 VAC power supply. • To turn on the scale, press the power switch on the right back of the indicator. • A message “S S S SY Y Y YS S S S U U U UP P P P” will be displayed and then will run a self test with a beep, ensuring all the segments are working. 3.4 UNIT SELECTION • The indicator can be set for different units by pressing the [Unit] key. The options are kilogram, gram, tonne, pound and ounce. They can be enabled as needed (see section 6.2). Kilogram is always on. 3.5 WEIGHING • Place the sample on the scale platform.
