Learning the basics If you are new to the Macintosh, you should begin by looking at the easy-to- use program called the Macintosh Tutorial. Putting the computer to sleep Sleep is a power conservation feature of PowerBook computers, reducing the amount of power the computer draws when it’s not being used.
