GETTING STARTED BATTERY WARNING To retain the previous user settings, the UH036SX will continue to use a small amount of battery power when switched off. To prevent the batteries from running down, remove them from the radio if the UH036SX will not be used for long periods. To initiate scanning, 1. Assuming the unit is on CH1 when switched on. 2. Press and hold Channel or for 3 seconds and scanning starts. 3. Press Channel or ; PTT or to cancel scanning.
