UNPACKING AND CLEANING Carefully unpack the machine and all loose items from the shipping container(s). Remove the protective coating from all unpainted surfaces. RIPPING Ripping (Fig. 43) is cutting lengthwise through a board. The rip fence (A) is used to position and guide the work.
