BASIC OPERATIONS 1. LOADING/EJECTING DISCS The MCD-710™ can only play 3 and 5 inch CDs. Odd shaped, and oval CDs are not compatible. When load- ing a CD into the transport tray, always hold the disc by it edge (see Figure 6). Load the disc label side up and place it in the disc tray. Never touch the signal surface (the glossy side). To remove a disc from the tray press the EJECT BUTTON (21), see Figure 7. BASIC OPERATIONS (CONT.) 3. STARTING PLAYBACK - Figure 10 Insert an audio CD as described on page 15 (LOADING/EJECTING DISCS). To use the scroll function you must first be in Pause Mode (see section 5) or Cue Mode (see sec- tion 8). BASIC OPERATIONS (CONT.) 9. CREATING AND PLAYING A SEAMLESS LOOP A seamless loop is a sound loop that plays continuously without sound interruption. You can use this loop to create dramatic effect in your mixing. This loop has no time limit and you could actually loop the entire length of disc.
