8.3.1 Cardiac pacemaker The following instructions apply to persons fitted with a cardiac pacemaker: • When the mobile phone unit is switched-on, ensure that a minimum distance of 20 cm between the mobile- phone unit and the Pacemaker is maintained. • In order to help guarantee this distance, it is recommended that the mobile phone unit is not kept in a breast pocket. • To minimise interference we recommend that the ear furthest away from the Pacemaker is used when using the mobile phone unit.
