Installation Installing SmarThru software About SmarThru software You must install the SmarThru CD-ROM to print, scan, or to send and receive faxes through PC. Installation procedure Installing the SmarThru software 1. Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The SmarThru CD-ROM is automatically running and the Samsung SmarThru setup dialogue box will appear. If the Samsung SmarThru setup dialogue box does not appear: 1) Windows 95/98/NT users should select Run from the Start menu. Installation 4. Follow the on-screen instructions and click Next. The SmarThru installation supports two types of setup. Typical setup will be installed with the most common options. Recommended for most users. In Custom setup, you can select components to be installed. If you select the Custom installation, you may choose the options you want to install. Configuring fax modem and internet connection Note: To configure the internet gate of the SmarThru system, you must enter your e-mail address, SMTP/POP3 server address, POP3 account name and password. Ask your Internet Service Provider or online service provider about the internet gate configuration. 1. After you install the SmarThru software, Windows restarts. UnInstalling SmarThru software Uninstallation is only required if you are upgrading the software, or if your installation was not successful. In Windows 95/98/NT 1.
